The Inner Guidance Experiment: Are You Ready To Play?

Are you connected to your Inner Guidance?
Do you seek counsel from God/The Universe/The Divine/Your Higher Self before making decisions? Or are you like most of us who suffer from the “monkey mind”, the Buddhist call that constant prattle and nattering of the voice inside your head. Instead of recognizing a problem, setting intentions and trusting our intuition and inner guidance to assist us, we listen to the conscious mind warn us, form fabrications and take us down the road of misjudgment and doubt.
All of this emotional distress, when Inner Guidance is always available to us! Sometimes Inner Guidance comes to us suddenly – perhaps as a voice in our mind or a “sign” that appears unexpectedly. Like the night I thought my whole world was falling apart. Pregnant with my first child, my husband had decided he wasn’t ready to be a Father and had stormed out leaving me with no car, no job and family hours and hours away. Distraught, alone and desperately trying to sleep, a beautiful, clear voice spoke from within. “Concentrate on the child…all is well”. A calming wave of love and peace settled over me and I never looked back.
These flashes of intuitive guidance can be few and far between though. I guess it’s no surprise when you consider how restrictive and limited our thinking can be. We might all be receptive to small “signs” from the Divine but how would we react if a figure materialized before our eyes? Fear is a powerful purveyor of doubt and justification.
As Pam says, “It has to be challenging for our inner guidance. How would you feel if someone asked you a question and then turned his or her back, ignoring everything you said? We’re like five-year-olds with our fingers in our ears going “la-la-la-la-la.”
You wouldn’t just pick up your phone when it rings and start talking loudly. You’d say “Hello” and listen to the person on the other end of the line. Here we are accusing the higher force of not giving us clear guidance and we’re the ones with our damned phones off the hook.”
So it’s time to put our inner guidance on the spot and not only demand some answers but trust in and embrace what we receive.
You will note that Pam refers to the FP (Field of Potentiality) in the experiment below. She explains, “Quantum physics tells us that the invisible energy realm—collectively referred to as the field, or the “FP,” as I call it—is the primary governing force of the material realm. It’s the blueprint that forms reality. Indeed, we now know that the universe is made of nothing but waves and particles of energy that conform to our expectations, judgments, and beliefs.”
Since every one of our thoughts (energy waves) interact and influence the FP they create a vibration that extends forever. And as matter is formed from energy….you know where I’m going with this….when enough energy gets together…wallah …matter! So all we have to do is “plug in” to the FP and upload our request for guidance and wait expectantly for it to appear!
Here are few of Pam’s essentials to keep in mind before you begin:
It’s essential to believe the experiment will work, so suspend judgment for now. If you are skeptical then your ever efficient left brain will provide the evidence of your belief.
Set your intention to release past conditioning. Pam starts with this quote from A Course in Miracles: “Open your mind and clear it of all thoughts that would deceive.”
And then be prepared to receive the evidence. Watch for it. Expect it. Search for it.
Amazing Things Can Happen…
The very first time I conducted this experiment I was questioning whether I should complete my goal of securing my Life Coaching Certification or perhaps my Reiki Master attunement. I was in a quandary about what direction my future should take. So one night I set the intention for divine guidance and gave the FB a 48 hour deadline.
The next morning I was checking my email and there in my inbox was a newsletter from an author and friend of the ezine. When I opened it and saw the words in front of me my skin began to tingle and I couldn’t breathe. The first article title was: “Why You Should Be A Life Coach” and the second article – right below – “The Benefits of Practicing Reiki”! My Divine Guidance was right there in front of me in plain black and white! There could be no mistake. I not only went on to accomplish both of these goals with joy and confidence – I did them simultaneously!!
So…are YOU ready for some Guidance? Complete the experiment yourself and then please let us hear all about it in the comment section below! The Method
In this experiment, we’ll prove that the guidance received is not some weird, Twilight Zone-like anomaly, but a very real and ongoing tool that all of us can use at any time.
You’ll spend 48 hours expecting a specific, concrete answer to a specific, concrete question. It can be as simple as whether to adopt a new Siamese kitten or as complicated as whether or not to take a job offer. Either way, give your inner guidance 48 hours to spell it out. But watch out. I tried this once and got fired. In retrospect, however, it was the perfect answer, maybe the only one I could hear to the question I’d asked: “Is it time to launch my freelance writing career?”
Choose an issue that is troubling you, something that has a yes or no answer, something on which you’re really confused and don’t know what to do. I know you’re thinking of something right now, doesn’t matter what it is. That issue will work. Look at your watch.
Ask for a clear, non-debatable answer and ask for it to show up within the next 48 hours. It might show up immediately. It might take only a day, but within 48 hours, expect to have a neon sign of an answer.
It’s your job to set the intention and the time frame. The FP will do the rest.
