"In 2010, the Central Bank of Iraq announced their plans to redenominate the Iraqi Dinar to ease cash transactions. The intention would be to drop three zeros from the nominal value of bank notes; but the actual value of the dinar would remain unchanged. Although the announcement stated that the change would take place by the end of 2010, no redenomination took place"

THE VALUE AFTER RD WOULD REMAIN THE SAME....This is inconsistent to logic is it not?

My logic is this, if they take away three zero's and keep the same value...it is a massive devaluation causing inflation and anarchy.
It is no secret for some years now Iraq has desperately wanted at least parity with the petrodollar, now that is as good as finished I suspect they will look at the Yuan as a benchmark, and if they do therein lies a whole new pandoras box of maybe's and what if's
