Judge Anna responds to Mr. Farrow’s Challenge

Arnie– I have NEVER mistaken the actions of individuals as the actions of races, religions, or even political groups.
Everything with me and in my view of the world is reduced down to the basic unit– the individual.
As a result, I see things in terms of what Joe or Anna or Arnie did or failed to do.
I do not make the ever-popular mistake of looking at an individual acting in error and extrapolating his or her guilt, greed, violence or other sin onto whatever race, religion, political party or other group they appear to be affiliated with.
Such groups are essentially illusions, because in fact they are made of individuals and if there is fault to be found, it is always individual fault.
There is no such thing as “collective guilt” or “collective pain”. The sum total of ALL experience and all real credit or blame rests squarely and only on each one of us.
So it is a red herring argument and a falsehood to speak in terms of groups and a terrible mistake to foster prejudices based on illusions.
We need to get beyond conveniences to facts. It is convenient to create categories and labels and apply them to people– but it is not truthful to think or speak in these terms.
What Jacob Rothschild has done, he has done. Nobody else is responsible for him or his actions since he reached the age of 21.
His actions or inactions cannot be credited to or held against his family, his religion, his genetic quotient, or his political ideology (if he has one). His sins and his virtues are his own, just like everyone else’s, and that is all the actual accountability there is on earth: we are each one of us solely accountable for what we do and what we fail to do.
We are all responsible for what we believe, what we value, and for our actions and our omissions. Nobody else.
It does no good to blame these faceless things, these unknowable illusory “groups” — whether we call them “Muslim jihadists” or “Khazarian bankers” or “Black militants” or so on.
We must come to realize that such groups don’t exist. Only individuals exist and only individuals matter, because we are the unit of life and of action.
We, each one of us, are all that there is. The pain, the love, the heroism or depravity that we can feel and express as an individual is the full and final measure.
So let’s deal with that fact and admit it. We are not victims of chance. We are creatures endowed with free will and logic, and all but about 5% of us have an inborn moral conscience and empathy capable of informing our actions. As such, “groups” are not responsible for anything that goes on. Individuals who fail to exercise their own logic and free will and sense of morality are the problem.
Stop talking or thinking in terms of groups and deal with individuals and life becomes much simpler, sweeter, and sensible– because it is based on the truth and the facts of our reality, not on illusory abstractions.
