Take Off The Mask…

If we have learned nothing else on our long and often arduous journey, let it be that we must be truthful to ourselves and to all others. Society has been blinded by masks, it is almost impossible to know who we are really meeting when we are out and about. We wear masks to make others see us in the light we wish to be seen in. We often cover up our truth, when if we were to let it shine forth, others may well be attracted to our light. What we hide is what we think we are. It most probably is not be the truth, but in our hearts and minds we believe it to be true. What we hide may very well be a wonderful attribute in others eyes. We believe so firmly in what we think to be true and often those beliefs can lead us astray. We are who we are and it is time to embrace that person and pull back the mask so we can be seen by all.
How did we become a society who judges so strongly not only others but ourselves as well. We are often our own worst enemy because of false beliefs we have held onto. It takes great energy to keep ourselves locked into the image we think we see. In actuality it is far easier to live with an open mind than with a closed one. When it is open we are free to flow and change with what comes along rather than struggle to maintain our beliefs within strict boundaries. If you look closely at all the unrest and war and division we see bubbling up in the world it is because of people’s beliefs they refuse to change. The world would be a far happier place if everyone were willing to let their beliefs loosen and shift with what is taking place.
Rather than assuming people will not like you if you show them your unhappy face, take off the mask and try it. I think people will be glad to see your honesty and be more eager to reach out to you. We may smile and put on a great act, but underneath it all people can sense it is not the truth. People are hungry now for truth in these times of constant deceit. We have all been lied to long enough and we are now moving forward in our efforts to create a better world with a foundation of honesty. It is time we all take off our masks and be who we really are. By wearing our masks for so long I think we may have even forgotten who we really are. We have fooled ourselves into thinking we are someone we are not.
As difficult as these times are for everyone, we must grasp onto all the small ways we can lighten things up and bring more joy to ourselves and those around us. We can all help the world by bringing our energies together and it is imperative those energies are positive and inspiring and uplifting. Envision the world as a giant scale of Justice and on one side there is darkness and sadness and pain and on the other there is joy and light and love. We need to all climb into the scale of light and join together until we tip the scales radically to the other side to outweigh the dark. It requires us to be true and truthful to our selves and one another, to let go of the need to hide and lie and pull away and retreat rather than coming forth and joining hands as one. We are all human, we all have our faults, we all have our bad days, those are not something we must hide. We are all one, we all share these traits and it does not make us less than anyone else. Take off your mask and dance in the moonlight because you love who you are and you do not care who is watching.
Blessings to all,
