Hell yeah! We are now on a GIGABIT PER SECOND pipeline, in addition to our RAID array of SSDs. Divine Cosmos is blazingly fast now!
I didn’t want to reveal the full extent of our upgrades until they were complete. Our site wasn’t even running on SSDs before, but spinning, wimpy hard drives. We had somehow missed the boat on that one. Now we have the SSDs in a RAID array, which makes them even faster and more powerful than if they are working as stand-alone units. And SSDs are vastly more powerful than spinning drives as they are. In a RAID they are incredible.
The next step, which was only completed last night, was to physically move our server blade from one building to another. We were on a 100 megabit-per-second pipeline before, and now we are TEN TIMES faster — on a gigabit-per-second feed!
I went to the site and the difference is very noticeable. It loads almost instantaneously. Click-BANG.
This will cost us hundreds of dollars more every month, but given the work we are doing and the negative attention it is attracting, it needed to be done. The SSDs probably make it at least ten times harder to hack our site, and the pipe is ten times faster, so we are probably looking at someone needing 100 times more computer power — at the very least — to achieve the same stunt they did when we published DISCLOSURE SHOWDOWN.
On the personal note, the poison ivy has stopped itching and my flu virus has mostly been conquered. I am only 15 to 20 percent as bad as I was at its peak right now, and perhaps by tomorrow it will be completely over with. Thanks again for all your support and well wishes.
