Solar & Lunar Eclipses of September 2016 – A New Hope

Do you remember that episode of Star Trek where everything seems to be moving quickly and information is shared at rapid rates? A Full Moon in Aquarius is about just that. Aquarius is the sign of the water bearer that is independent, humanitarian but also a quick thinker. If there is a time on earth for quick, independent and compassionate people – the time is now, especially because we need this little extra boost of information before the Eclipses & the Mercury retrograde next month when things will slow down.
The energy from a Full Moon in Aquarius this year highlights a need to change our perceptions and asks us to expand our consciousness to a more unified approach. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet of change, and Saturn, the planet representing boundaries.  The mix of both creates a dynamic push for change in our lives while still respecting our own boundaries. Aquarians know how to move forward in creating positive change even if they can be a bit of know-it-alls. That being said, Aquarian energy has a unique and much required purpose for us at this time in order to move into our collective humanity and future.
An independent Aquarius is normally off-beat and understands topics rather quickly; however, the lesson we learn from this Full Moon is that not everyone can implement these ideas as fast an Aquarian can – and so patience is required at the time. As we leave this Full Moon into the Eclipses this September, we realize the importance of patience for others and for ourselves. Mercury Retrograde which begins on September 30th, 2016 is a symbolic time for rest, review and slowly processing information.  So all this new information we may receive around this full moon, we can rest assured we will have the time to process it, even if it’s just for a few weeks. Change is on the horizon for many so be prepared it just may happen at warp speed come October.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo occurs on September 1st 2016 and the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces happens on September 16th 2016. The energy from these eclipses began 6 months ago in March of 2016. So it is a good time to reflect what goals or issues may have developed for you during that time and to check in for a status update. How have things evolved since then, are your goals achieved or issues resolved? Anything still left hanging may come up again during this Eclipse season; more importantly, it is not a beneficial time to start anything new until the end of September when Mercury moves forward again. The New Moon in Virgo asks us to review our health holistically (mind, body and spirit), the Full Moon in Pisces will be asking us to heal any of these issues and Mercury will be moving through the Eclipses to review and make any last corrections overall. Come October the energy will be moving in Libra, representing balance, harmony and love so things will finally start to move forward – and results of our goals or wishes may even come to us overnight. Jupiter also transits out of Virgo, this whole year, and into Libra until October 2017 which will create more harmony for everyone throughout the year.
Know we are all moving forward, even if we just need a bit of time to catch up!
