Last Sunday I picked up my student and drove two hours south of Reno to what I call the cedar forest. There is an ancient cedar tree in that forest who I like to visit. She is by far oldest in this particular forest. I would like to guess her age at about 500 years; she has weathered many forest fires and hidden from many loggers.
It was not until several trips into this area that I came upon her, she showed herself to me. I travel to this area for ceremonial plant collection. There are two specific plant medicines that I go to this forest area to meet up with. Sometimes they show themselves and sometimes not. Whether the plants show up or not greatly depends on my needs, the ceremonies that are coming in the future and my prayers.
Sunday I took my student to this magical place and to meet the old lady of the forest. I was not sure she would show herself; in the end she did and quit loudly I would add. My student was taken by her majesty, he climbed into her and did some spirit work with her.
Ranging all over the cedar forest bared no red willow; it seems it is still hiding. Winter season is when it will turn red as it then has more willingness to be found. Red willow is often used for the pipe stems of scared pipes used in ceremonies. The inner bark is also used of the red willow by scrapping and drying to be used in the pipe for ceremony. I was looking for the illusive red willow for a pipe stem as I am getting ready to and preparing for my upcoming pipe ceremony. I have been trained for the last three years by spirit on the collection of herbal plants I will use in my pipe. These herbs are in aligned with women’s earth medicine. I will eventually be a ceremonial pipe carrier and my own blend of medicine for pipe and her ceremonies.
In the end I did collect some beautiful sage which I have already made bundles which are freshly hung up drying out, gathering energy for this next year and the ceremonies I will doing bringing these medicine/s with me.
I collected some medicine that had fallen off and was hanging around on the old lady cedar tree for an upcoming ceremony. Since she is very powerful and old she has many gifts. For me her gifts with the understanding and power of transmutation are beyond as she has lived through many a fire. She brings that fire medicine in a way only a tree would. When her medicine is brought for the healing of sick people who come to the next fire ceremony I am doing, the tree will bring the energy needed to transmute the trial by fire in the mind, body, emotions and spirit. Powerful medicine for sure brought in connection with grandfather fire medicine.
The old lady was a bit cranky on this day we came to visit her. When we were getting ready to leave she asked me to collect a rounded stone from the creek bed. She wanted the stone collected from under the water if possible.
I went to the creek and had to make several attempts at pulling out stones as most of them would not release themselves from the bottom. Then finally the right stone she desired popped out into my hand and I walked the stone back to the old lady.
She asked me to place the stone in a space that was inside of her trunk. A place that had been carved out by a fire long ago, the scorch marks still present. The old lady telepathically explained to me that the rock was going to help her conjure much need rain. The rock carried the information of being under water, abundant water which would help her connect up to the abundant water needed to cure the drought. Bring serious relief to this forest that she watches over and cares for like a gentle nurturing mother. She said the she had grown disgusted by the chemtrails as well as with the humans who consider no one but themselves. Their selfishness is a disease killing all living things. These choices the human make have forced unnatural change upon the earth and the change has destroyed the relationships to the rain, the water and the snow. The communicate between all the forces who interact as part of the whole no longer know each other and this means the water does not know where it needs to go, when it needs to go or how much it needs to go anymore.
On this day she reminded me of those tree beings in the lord of the rings. The old man forest watcher tree beings and having been around so long and seen so much that it take time for them to form conclusions about what is happening and what may need to be done. Might I say that the old lady is awake to the drought and to the energy forces it is damaging of the livings beings in the forest and elsewhere. I can say she is fully in the game now, all her chips are on the table and my money is on the old lady and all tree beings, the ancient ones. If anyone can do something about the drought, it would be a 500 year old tree, the mother of her children of all walks called a forest. She knows how long before she came to this reality how to bridge worlds energetically and beings in them, harnessing power to cease a drought by will.
A rain storm has been pouring down rain for the last two days here, which includes the area where I was on Sunday. It leaves one to wonder if this present rain is the work of the old lady. Did she conjure this rain? Did I in fact provide her with the information about abundant water with assisting her with bring her that stone? Sometimes we will never know, but for me it seems auspicious enough that I choose to believe that the old lady has the power to change it and is!
Watch out folks Mother Nature is waking up and she does not like what is going on, change is coming!
The picture on the article is not of the old lady tree. I keep her out of the public eye as not to send bad energy or any energy her way. I have a Big Love for trees on this planet and much of the work I do seems to be around them and with them. Trees are my favorite thing about this world!
