“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” Albert Einstein
It isn’t a game, it’s Life... This is about our lives, our freedoms, our rights... Our freedom to express ourselves and experience our bodies through our senses. This is about our right to express ourselves within a context that promotes fairness and equality for all living things...
We cannot merely play the game of life better than anyone else - not without taking away someone's equality, freedoms and rights...
The world and its resources are finite. We only have so much to go around, so much space to live upon, so much food to eat, so much water to drink - as we become disproportionate in one aspect, we deny that same right from others to express it themselves.
When the laws are written to protect one aspect of our community and punish another, then there is no freedom - only the hollow mask of freedom.
Because where do we draw the line?
What if instead of race or gender, our Governments determine the right to vote for those who’ve accumulate a particular level of wealth? One must earn a particular and totally arbitrary sum of dollars a year to be able to qualify to vote?
Children, who make no money, cannot vote because they aren’t mature enough - and yet, adults within a particular income range and age group who can vote, elect political parties who make it increasingly more difficult for our youth to gain a competent education. The learning syllabus is determined by a political group, a political dogma - not on what will shape a successful and thriving society...
We find these examples throughout our society - what is ‘Health Care’ and who can qualify for it... What are crimes and what should be the penalties for those crimes?
Why is it that the poor are penalized more severely than the rich in the court of law - what then is Justice? The rich can simply appeal their verdict and punishment and continue to burden the legal system... Where the poor cannot afford to contest their sentence.
We see these injustices daily - the wealthy get away with rape and murder because they can afford to hide their criminal activities...
When we adopt a philosophy that states that life is a game - then we are fooling ourselves from understanding our true selves - our true purpose for being...
Yet, our Global Society has bought into this notion that Life is a Game - and perhaps this is the greatest crime ever perpetrated against Humanity...
