There are times when we fall
for the negative thoughts, and they take the best of us. That’s just how
it is, it’s the price that we have to pay for that amazing intelligence
we have. But that doesn’t make it right. Sit back and listen – there is
at least one constant voice in our head repeating some negative
thoughts all day long.
Most of the people don’t even
notice it, it’s subconscious. Most of the people don’t notice it or
think about it. But the negative energy of it is lingering around –
causing all kinds of unspoken damage. Like fear of stepping up, taking
risks, low self esteem, all kinds of stress.
HOW TO GET RID OF IT?
OPEN YOUR EYES.
First you have to get to know
it. In order to erase it, you need to know what you are up to. It can be
hard, but while you are ignoring it consciously – subconsciously it’s
getting the best of you and is slowly destroying you.
with these voices – start a dialogue. But be careful, let them get a
full hold of you no longer than 5 or 10 minutes, in which time you just
listen to it and get to know it. Once the time is up – stand up and
shake it off. Don’t fall into the rabbit hole.
Next you have to analyze these thoughts and try to understand them.
FIND THE REASON AND SOURCE.
For most of the times the
source can be very hard to find, or there might not be just one source.
It’s just all of your past mistakes and bad experiences are put all
together and are shouting from inside your head at you, making you doubt
everything you are doing. But sometimes, it’s very easy to find the
source – the voice inside your head might be speaking with your mother’s
voice or father’s, or maybe it’s one of your teacher’s voices. That is
very individual. But they are all shouting out a very big list of
limiting beliefs, and that’s what keeps you from going on with your life
– moving forward.
STOP ACCEPTING IT.
Think about how you are talking
to yourself in your own mind. And imagine a world where everybody’s
talking to each other like that. Makes you think? Self-talk should be
cheering and motivating, not killing your spirit with all the
negativity. If someone came to you and talked to you the way you are
talking to your self, in your own mind, there is a very big chance that
You would not tolerate that kind of behavior.
time to do something in that matter. Don’t start with anything big,
start with acknowledging that that kind of thoughts are no longer
welcome in your mind.
that there is more power in this action and making the decision, that
something is no longer OK, than you might think at first.
AFFIRM AND REPEAT.
Most of these negative thoughts
can be in your head while you won’t even notice them. That’s why there
are things that you should do, in order to eliminate them. Make your own
positive thoughts, and repeat them in your head, making them just as
unconscious as the current negative ones. Use positive thinking instead
of negative thoughts.
a list of three or four short, specific and simple sentences, but don’t
use any future tenses. Create your own positive affirmations. You need
to convince yourself that you’ve already can do it, that you have the
strength to reach your goals, that you can do anything you want.
few lines should become something like mantras to you, that you are
repeating them to yourself as often as possible, and eventually it will
overcome the negative thoughts in your mind and become your second
nature. Not to mention that your reality, your surrounding world will
become exactly what you have been affirming.
And when you have beaten the
negative thoughts in your mind, don’t let them come back. You should
stay engaged. Because the negative thought will never go away for ever,
they will stay quiet somewhere in the deepest corner of your mind. And
if there will be one good chance for them to overtake your mind again
they’ll do it with no mercy. That’s why keep on working and improving
