When is the solstice where I live? The solstice takes place place on June 21, 2017 at 4:24 UTC. That’s 11:24 p.m. CDT in North America on June 20. A solstice happens at the same instant for all of us, everywhere on Earth. To find the time of the solstice in your location, you have to translate to your time zone.
For the Northern Hemisphere, this solstice marks the longest day of the year. Early dawns. Long days. Late sunsets. Short nights. The sun at its height each day, as it crosses the sky. Meanwhile, south of the equator, winter begins.

What is a solstice? Ancient cultures knew that the sun’s path across the sky, the length of daylight, and the location of the sunrise and sunset all shifted in a regular way throughout the year. They built monuments, such as Stonehenge, to follow the sun’s yearly progress. Today, we know that the solstice is an astronomical event, caused by Earth’s tilt on its axis and its motion in orbit around the sun. Because Earth doesn’t orbit upright. Instead, our world is tilted on its axis by 23-and-a-half degrees, Earth’s Northern and Southern Hemispheres trade places in receiving the sun’s light and warmth most directly.
At the June solstice, Earth is positioned in its orbit so that our world’s North Pole is leaning most toward the sun. As seen from Earth, the sun is directly overhead at noon 23 1/2 degrees north of the equator, at an imaginary line encircling the globe known as the Tropic of Cancer – named after the constellation Cancer the Crab. This is as far north as the sun ever gets. All locations north of the equator have days longer than 12 hours at the June solstice. Meanwhile, all locations south of the equator have days shorter than 12 hours.
It has been universal among humans to treasure this time of warmth and light.
For us in the modern world, the solstice is a time to recall the reverence and understanding that early people had for the sky. Some 5,000 years ago, people placed huge stones in a circle on a broad plain in what’s now England and aligned them with the June solstice sunrise.
We may never comprehend the full significance of Stonehenge. But we do know that knowledge of this sort wasn’t isolated to just one part of the world. Around the same time Stonehenge was being constructed in England, two great pyramids and then the Sphinx were built on Egyptian sands. If you stood at the Sphinx on the summer solstice and gazed toward the two pyramids, you’d see the sun set exactly between them.[Source]
The Solstice is an opportunity to harmonise our rhythms with the solar cycle and to utilise the powerful incoming energies available for personal and planetary healing on this special day.

General info about the upcoming Solstice healing event

During the treatment process, each participant will receive healing on an healing on an individual level and as being part of the work done for the group of participants as a whole, and will also be anchoring the planetary healing energies in their part of the world, releasing disharmonic energy and receiving healing energy on a collective level.

“The June Solstice falls on the 20th-21st, marking the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the June Solstice represents the peak of the year and the point of highest energy. The Summer Solstice is a time of light, masculinity and outward expansion.
In the Southern Hemisphere, the June solstice represents the lowest point of energy for the year. The Winter Solstice is a time of darkness, femininity and inward expansion.
No matter where you live, you can feel the energy of the Solstice by observing Mother Nature.
In the North the days are sunny, the sky is blue and nature is very busy. In the South, the days are cold and grey and nature is mostly resting.
Mother Earth pretty much sums up the energy that is around us at this point in the year and where we should be focusing our energies.
Those living in the Northern Hemisphere are being blessed with high energy and the desire to go out and do things, whereas those in the Southern Hemisphere are being blessed with a lower energy that is better used for rest and reflection.
Even though there are differences in the energy of the Solstice, the planetary or cosmic energy is the same no matter where you live.
In the sky, the planets are gearing up for the Super New Moon which falls on the 23-24th of June. This Super New Moon is part of a longer cycle that started back in May and will help to crystallise things and bring about a fresh new beginning.
This energy, along with the Solstice is going to be guiding all of us to start thinking about our life in a new way.
We are going to be guided to assess and review our thoughts, words and actions, and to make adjustments that reflect the life that we wish to lead.
The cosmic energy around the Solstice and leading up to the New Moon holds an intense energy, almost like the heavens are beaming down on us and lighting up areas of our lives that need our attention.
We are all going to be called to step into our fullest potential and begin aligning with our purpose and our highest path.
Our purpose on this Earth is to be true to ourselves and to follow the calling of our hearts, although this can seem tricky at times, the more we stay true to who we are, the easier this journey will unfold.
The Solstice energy is going to be beckoning us to welcome in the new and to celebrate why we are here and what mission our soul has come to serve.”
