Sunday, June 17 late evening – Moon Meets Regulus In the western sky in late evening on Sunday, June 17, the waxing crescent moon will be situated approximately 4 degrees to the lower right (west) of Regulus, the brightest star in Leo. Both objects will fit into the field of view of binoculars (orange circle).
