Walking A Path…

We all lay out a general path before us to follow and stay connected
to as we make our way through our experience in our lifetime. What kind
of path we lay out determines what kind of life we will encounter. What
does your path look like? Is it a beautiful path or one fraught with
turmoil and disappointments? It is up to each of us to choose our own
paths and then be responsible for following them. Do we have the courage
to not be pulled off them by temptations thrown before us or fears
meant to derail us? A strong path makes for a strong person. Is your
path filled with I can’s and I am’s or is it filled with maybe’s and I
should’s, I will? Do we embrace what life has to offer us and set it
before us on our path with enthusiasm or do we come at life timidly and
with reservation, apprehensively tip toeing along waiting for and
expecting life to throw us a curve ball? Choose your life path, plant
it with flowers of beautiful colors and most importantly, stay on it,
but be flexible!
As with everything, even our life plans are subject to change and so we must be willing to veer off our path if our heart
is beckoning us to follow. Listening to our heart is far different from
following temptation or reacting out of fear. Joseph Campbell once
said “Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where
there were only walls.” This way of being in the world is truly going
with the flow. Stay on your hearts path wherever it might lead you, but
do not get pulled off by the lesser things in life. Let your heart be
your guide for it knows exactly where you need to go.
The path I choose to walk primarily involves doing my best to live by the Native American Life Laws as
best I can, for it makes me feel worthy and good to do so and also
because it is helping to make the world a better place at the same time.
I think one of the most important lessons we have learned from this
2012 shift into the new world is captured in one word. CHOICE.
Everything in our lives is there by our choice created by our thoughts
and intentions. Our whole entire lives are one big choice. The sooner we
realize it is we who are responsible for what kind of lives we live,
the better off we will be and the better off the world will be.
I think one of the bigger obstacles we face on this journey down our
life path is Fear! It can derail the best of intentions and so we must
pay close attention not to allow it into our lives. It is being
concocted all the time and is swirling all around us continually, but we
must not bend at the knees to it. Stand tall and refuse to succumb to
it. Joy and hope and faith are so much more enjoyable to entertain and
of course love is always at our helms directing us. Choose a humble path
of goodness, follow your heart and your bliss always and doors will
open up to you and your life will flow with great ease and much
happiness. Welcome to the New World!
Blessings to us all,
