My son has been bantering on about this for bloody weeks and where as I think it's a good idea there is always 2 sides to everything. I told him to research it correctly before he buys anything!! Not sure I like the fact you can print a gun out and use it, imagine kids with this kind of technology, very dangerous I think!

The replicator concept has so many applications. Once this is developed... hunger could be eliminated. So this as with ALL things the good will have to be accepted along with the bad.

I was actually wondering if this is the replicator that we have been hearing about. I know Jay Leno has owned one of these for several years.

I have seen numerous videos about them and like what I see.

Well the capabilities to this will be far reaching as time goes on. Think of the advance in the phone in your life time right? This will be the next big jump. Or at least that is how I see this.

I have also been hearing of this devise for some time. I wonder how many sci~fi movies and shows have been done with the replicator somewhere in the story line?

Yeah I think it is fantastic technology but I have yet to be convinced that this will be a good thing! Of course my son it thinking of printing out toys and selling them at the markets and I was saying to him you are going to have to watch for copyright etc. It's in its infancy so we will see..

A 5000 dollar investment to start a business is not a bad one though. Tell him to start saving.

Well the ones that he has seen are $1300 so cheap as chips!! LOL

Well there you go then. I think it sounds like a cool thing for him to do.
