MANILA, Philippines- Two days before his birthday, President Benigno Aquino III on Thursday personally went to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Tayuman Manila to renew his driver’s license, Malacañang said.
“The President, who has rejected the so- called wang-wang (siren) mentality since he assumed office in 2010, waited in line along with other license applicants,” Malacañang said in a statement.
It said many applicants were surprised to see the President standing and waiting for his turn.
Aquino who was wearing a barong with a yellow ribbon was accompanied by Transportation Secretary Joseph Abaya and Renato Marfil, undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
