2010 Eruption of Eyjafjallajökull - this was a tragic mess
Here's a great chart to see how many volcanos Iceland has, and it's alot

The aviation color code has been raised to "red" as the data is currently interpreted as a subglacial eruption, the volcano is exhibiting heightened levels of unrest, meaning significant ash emissions are likely. The red alert is the highest warning on the country's five-point scale.
Over the past several days thousands of mini earthquakes and seismic events have caught the attention of the aviation industry.
An industry that is only years removed from a similar Icelandic eruption in 2010 that cancelled thousands of European flights. The ash cloud that can result from such an eruption would reach several miles in height and disperse a fine grainy ash that can ruin airplane engines over a swath of airspace covering most of northern Europe.
My hope is, this in no way triggers Yellowstone's Super Volcano...
The Icelandic Met Office has warned that a small sub-glacial eruption is under way at Bardarbunga, authorities evacuated an area close to the volcano over fears it could erupt.
Bardarbunga is part of a large volcano system hidden beneath the 500-metre (0.31-mile) thick Vatnajokull glacier in central Iceland. You can catch a live glimpse of Iceland's Bardarbunga volcano, via webcam, by clicking here, unless it goes dark....
