Newfound Interest in the Redacted 28 Pages

RYAN DAWSON

ForbiddenKnowledgeTV.net - Alexandra Bruce - April 20, 2016
"The Relationships Between the Saudi Royals and the Bushes Are Embarrassing"
Due to political avoidance, a journalistic scoop which has languished for over 14 years has suddenly become red hot, due to the CBS 60 Minutes expose, '28 Pages', which aired on April 10. US Presidential candidate, Donald Trump has previously stated that if elected, he'd publicly release the 28 redacted pages from the "9/11 Report".
Responding to growing demands, on April 19, President Obama announced that his Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper was reviewing the 28 pages for "sensitive issues", which might compromise national security but that the [redacted] redacted pages would be publicly released, "Hopefully soon".
According to Ryan Dawson, creator of two independently-produced documentaries on the subject of 9/11, many people assume that the infamous redacted 28 pages that have suddenly gained wide attention are a product of the well-known 9/11 Commission Report. Instead, he says these redacted pages are from the separate US Senate Report on 9/11.
The former was produced by a group called the "9/11 Commission" for short but officially called the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States. It was set up on November 27, 2002 and chaired by former New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean. Their report basically concluded that failures of the CIA and FBI had permitted the terrorist attacks to occur and it suggested that had these agencies
acted more aggressively, the attacks may
have been prevented. The commission was closed on August 21, 2004, after the publication of its final report, which was made available for sale or free download to the public.
The redacted 28 pages which were the focus of the 60 Minutes show and about which former Senator Bob Graham (D-FL) appeared on several TV news outlets, calling for their release over the past week was produced by the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities before and after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001. The Inquiry began in February 2002 and the final report released in December 2002.
Ironically, Sen. Graham, who led this Joint Inquiry had initially rejected calls for any investigation into the September 11 attacks!
Graham was then the chair of the Select Committee on Intelligence and his reluctance to pursue this investigation was shared by Representative Porter Goss (R-FL.), chair of the House Intelligence Committee and needless to say, by the George W. Bush White House.
Regardless, the Senate called for the establishment of an independent bipartisan commission to be led by Bob Graham and Porter Goss, who were kicking and screaming all the way. They were joined by their ranking minority members, Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) and Sen. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). L. Britt Snider, a former inspector general of the CIA was the staff director hired a 30-person team to gather evidence and interview the major intelligence and law enforcement agencies.
The Joint Inquiry was immediately subject to stonewalling, delays and attacks by members of the Bush Administration, which later classified the infamous 28 pages of the final report.
In August 2002 unnamed individuals who had read the report revealed it contained accusations of links between the government of Saudi Arabia and the attacks. The Saudis denied this and asked that the section be made public, but President Bush refused.
In December 2002, the joint inquiry released their redacted findings, which detailed the failures of the FBI and CIA.

In 2003, leaked information from CIA and FBI documents claimed that there was “incontrovertible evidence” that highly-placed Saudi government officials, including the Saudi Ambassador and the embassy in Washington DC, as well as the consulate in Los Angeles were involved with financially aiding and orchestrating the attacks.
That same year, repeated appeals by Graham to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and calls to President Bush by 42 Democrat senators and Senator Sam Brownback (R-KA) to release the material fell on deaf ears.
In December 2013, Representatives Walter B. Jones, Jr. (R-NC) and Stephen Lynch (D-MA) proposed that Congress pass a resolution urging President Obama to declassify all of the 2002 report, which he is currently considering.
In June of 2014, the Supreme Court ruled that the families, as well as insurance companies which paid large claims after the attacks, could sue Saudi Arabia.
Since 2015, the US Senate has worked to pass a bill that would allow Americans to sue foreign powers that fund terrorist groups that kill Americans on American soil. The bill passed the Senate Judiciary Committee in January 2016.
With the prospect of this bill being passed, Saudi Arabia has threatened to liquidate $750 billion in Treasury Bonds (which would crater the bond market), as well as its hundreds of billions of dollars worth of other holdings in the US, in order to avoid having their assets frozen in a criminal investigation. Obama has consistently lobbied against the bill and is expected to veto it, should it pass.
The bill would set a precedent, that would open the door to foreign claimants suing the US government for its own terrorist activities, in places like Pakistan, Yemen, Libya and Syria, among others.
Like so many other Big Lies, the revelation of the truth about 9/11 would expose massive entities to enormous liabilities. Therefore, the lies have been kept in place. In the case of 9/11, the truth could conceivably crash the world economy.
As much as so many of us would like to see the perpetrators of 9/11 and of the illegal prosecution of the war in Iraq, etc. to be tried and punished for their monstrous crimes, we'd probably rather forestall the inevitable collapse of the global economy than to cause it to come crashing down overnight.
The specter of economic disaster will continue to loom, regardless.
