12/12/16 | Arkansas Rising
the official appearance of Arkansas Rising. A collective of water guardians protecting the natural state against the Diamond Pipeline. Through nonviolent civil disobedience tactics, small crimes are accused in order to expose greater crimes, in this case -- the Diamond Pipeline, which threatens our waters and many wildlife preservations throughout the state of Arkansas.
Two water guardians, Frank, a grandfather, and Amber, a mother of two, locked down to the trackhoe to stop construction that morning. Both were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. The Diamond Pipeline has yet to be charged with anything, even something as obvious as misusing eminent domain for the financial gain of a private company and not a public utility (though there is talk of a pending lawsuit by landowners against DPL). All properties within a 100 mile radius of the pipeline will suffer financial losses because a pipeline always depreciates the value of that land.
Arkansas Rising has just begun, and will continue its efforts in saving the natural state of things by stopping the Diamond Pipeline. #ThisDiamondDontShine
