10 earthquakes have hit California in the space of 24 hours. The largest earthquake measured magnitude 5.8 and a magnitude 5 shock hit less than an hour later. Three of the earthquakes measured more than magnitude 4. In California, so far today, there have been a total of six earthquakes since the early hours of Friday morning. Several of the 10 earthquakes which occured in the last 24 hours rumbled close to the San Andreas fault line. The magnitude 5.0 and 5.8 earthquakes happened exactly on the fault line, however as they hit hundreds of miles off the coast of Northern California and at a relatively low depth, there were only a few reports that the earthquake had been felt, but the intensity was weak because it was so far off the coast. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquak... https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/...
