A piece of graffiti tagged with the name Banksy has appeared in Ferrol, the hometown of former Spanish military leader Francisco Franco, on Tuesday. Local artist Eduardo Hermida, while hesitant to declare it as an authentic piece of the world-renowned Banksy, stated: "In either case I think it is very beneficial for the neighborhood. Many curious people have come to see it" The piece appeared on a wall where "reserved for Banksy" was written after the town campaigned to attempt to draw Banksy to the town and paint there.
