Lake Vistonida is currently being invaded by spiders in Greece. A true spider apocalypse! Perfect for Halloween!
And the spiders also engulfed tombs and their crosses. via Facebook
According to locals, the spiders have already weaved 100s of meters of webs in only 2-3 days.
Everything from trees, bushes, curbs and cemetery crosses @ the Vatopedi monastery are wrapped in this frightening gray veil.
Biologists say this weird phenomenon is due to the TOO warm and humid weather in the area, which activate the reproduction of midges, whin in turn are the preferate food of those spiders.
