Kelly Cahill UFO case continues to intrigue News-ghost-alien

One of Australia's most perplexing alien abduction encounters continues to prove compelling 27 years on.
The story began on the evening of August 7, 1993, when Kelly Cahill and her then-husband Andrew had been driving to a friend's house along the Belgrave-Hallam Road in Narre Warren, Melbourne.

As they drove along, she noticed something unusual in a paddock at the side of the road - six orange lights in a distinct circular formation 'like nothing she had ever seen before.'

The rest of the trip was uneventful and the couple arrived at their destination without incident, however on the way home a few hours later, things took a rather sinister turn.

As they drove back along the same stretch of road, they encountered the same orange lights, but this time they appeared to be hovering above the road in front of them.

As they got closer, they could see that the object was in fact some sort of craft.

"I could then see that the orange lights were really windows," Cahill wrote. "I could make out figures standing behind the portals."

As they approached, the object flew off 'at incredible speed' before showing up yet again in a paddock a little further down the road. It was then that they experienced a period of inexplicable memory loss and found themselves several hundred meters further down the road than they should have been.

Later, through hypnosis, Cahill recalled that they had actually stopped to check out the lights, only to encounter a number of tall, thin entities which fired some sort of energy weapon at them.

What made the incident particularly compelling was the fact that the occupants of another car that Cahill had seen nearby had later come forward to independently report a very similar experience.

There was even a local lawyer who had also driven by at the time with a corroborating story.

So could the couple have really encountered extraterrestrial visitors that night ?

The search for answers continues.
