Denmark has announced that it would stop using the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine altogether, becoming the first European country to do so over suspected rare but serious side effects. In other news, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration have recommended a "pause" in the use of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine out of an "abundance of caution" while a review of reports of rare, potentially dangerous blood clots is conducted. Six reports of blood clots in women aged 18 to 48 years have been reported in the country. One has died, and a second is hospitalised in critical condition. Apart from the US, South Africa and European Union have also put a temporarily stop on the rollout of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Covid jab over reports of blood clots. #Denmark #AstraZenecaVaccine #JohnsonAndJohnsonVaccine
