About 1000 people turned up to experience the summer solstice at Stonehenge (the longest day and shortest night), even thought it was officially closed due to so-called Covid restrictions. Druids carried out a ceremony outside the fence, whilst pagans and revellers jumped the fence to peacefully celebrate within the stones. It seems you cant take away the stones from the people, and the security guys seemed to agree when we spoke to them. English Heritage cancelled the live-stream unnecessarily, and the stones were reclaimed. Photos from inside the circle courtesy of https://www.facebook.com/StonehengeNews.
