Gelong Thubten, a Tibetan Buddhist monk, shares an old Buddhist story on consciously finding the compassion to let go of toxic thoughts, strengthen your resilience and deepen your positive emotions.  He affirms that in order to forgive, you must change your way of thinking. You should not be angry with the person, you should be angry with their pain.
