A young Kazakh man named Ruslan, known as “Panda Man” due to his rare Rh-negative blood type, got a chance to meet President Xi Jinping in Hainan Tuesday during the president’s inspection visit. President Xi once lauded the man’s deeds for donating blood to Chinese patients. Ruslan now is the Global Media Officer of Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (IEDB), he calls Hainan his “second home”, and is eager to make more contributions to Hainan’s development.
