PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF ESSENTIAL OILS[/url]
BATH: Add 10 to 15 drops of essential oil to a full bath. Foot and
Hand baths: 8 to 10 drops in a large bowl of warm water. Soak for 15
COMPRESS: Add 8 to 10 drops of essential oil to 2 cups hot or cold
water. Soak cotton cloth, wring and place on skin. Repeat every 15
minutes for up to an hour.
DIFFUSER: Very effective for inhalations. Turn on diffuser for 5 to 15 minute intervals.
INHALATIONS: Place 1 to 3 drops of essential oil on a cloth to
inhale. Or put 3 to 8 drops of essential oil into a large pan/bowl of
hot water, cover head and bowl with a towel, and inhale deeply for 5 to
10 minutes. Do not use during asthma attacks! I did this for my
husband when he had pneumonia. Worked like a charm. I used oregano,
eucalyptus, tea tree and lavender oils.
MASSAGE OIL: Add 12 to 15 drops of essential oil to every one ounce of vegetable oil(almond, sunflower, etc.)
INSIDE THE MOUTH: Tea Tree is the best one to use safely. 2 to 4
drops of tea tree oil to one cup of water. Can also apply 2 drops to
your toothbrush and brush away with whatever you use for toothpaste(I do
this everyday to keep my gums healthy). I have gargled with oregano
oil, and it's been OK. It is strong! If I had an abscess, I'd put
straight oregano oil right on it.
BODY SPRAY: 10 to 20 drops of essential oil to every 4 ounces of water
An excellent body mist spray using ROSE essential oil helps with
mature, dry, normal, sensitive and damaged skin, PMS, menopause, mood
swings, emotional upsets, opening the heart, and self-motivation. I
love this one!
OINTMENT: Add 25-30 drops of essential oil to every one ounce of vegetable oil(I personally use olive oil)
INTERNAL: I only have used Oregano Oil internally... very diluted
with olive oil. For infections. Works great to Kill, Kill, Kill.
Make sure that when you are purchasing or using essential oils that they are 100% pure, therapeutic grade. Enjoy!
