Yet another heatwave in Australia as temperatures around 40 C (104 F) and staggering humidity making it feel much hotter affect Queensland

Queenslanders are doing their best to beat the heat, as high temperatures and staggering humidity affect parts of the state's east coast and southern and central districts.
Severe heatwave conditions have set in for a third day with temperatures across the south-east expected to be eight degrees above average.
Brisbane and Ipswich are expecting around 40 degrees Celsius today, while the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast are expecting 37C.
By midday, it was 34.5C in Brisbane while Redcliffe had reached 35.4C and Maroochydore was sitting on 36.4C.
Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) forecaster Rick Threlfall said the humidity would make the temperatures feel much hotter.
"It's going to be a very hot and humid day - fairly similar temperatures to [Monday], if anything, maybe a little bit hotter," he said.
Energex said it was expecting record usage of electricity as people in the south-east try to keep cool. The power company's Justin Coomber said the scorching conditions had already pushed electricity usage to high levels.
"The all time record for electricity consumption is 4,760 megawatts and that was set back in the summer of 2009-2010," he said.
"With the way things are shaping already, with the high usage on the network already early this morning, we expect today to possibly set a new record on that."
Mr Coomber urged people to use their air conditioners in a cost-effective way.
"We do recommend you set your air conditioner at 24 degrees and that every degree lower than that can cost you up to 10 per cent of your running costs," he said.

Meanwhile South Africans are no better off as the country battles another heatwave, the South African Weather Service has urged residents to stay out of the sun.
The mercury is expected to soar over the 35°C mark in the northern parts of Gauteng and Limpopo. Forecaster Lebogang Mashile said there is a possibility of rain and cooler temperatures towards the end of the week.
"We're expecting chance of isolated showers and thundershowers over Gauteng throughout the week. For the heatwave conditions, we're expecting our temperatures to be in the range of 35°C to 37°C for the northern parts of Gauteng.
