Manhattan US Attorney says Ghislaine Maxwell’s sentence sends a strong message
‘Today’s sentence holds Ghislaine Maxwell accountable for perpetrating heinous crimes against children,’ Manhattan US Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.
‘This sentence sends a strong message that no one is above the law and it is never too late for justice.’
Jeffrey Epstein’s pimp Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday.
Maxwell worked as Jeffrey Epstein’s pimp for years and the DOJ knew they were running girls as young as 12 but they refused to act.
She was also great friends with Bill Clinton.
The child sex abuse was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday after she was found guilty on 5 of 6 counts last December.
Maxwell was facing 65 years in prison on charges stemming from her role as Epstein’s ‘madam’ from 1994 to 2004.
Prosecutors asked for 30-55 years which is a life sentence for the 60-year-old but the judge handed down a 20-year sentence.

Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 in prison Tuesday for her role in helping powerful pedophile Jeffrey Epstein abuse young girls, capping off a dramatic fall from grace for the British socialite turned-convicted sex-trafficker.
US District Judge Alison Nathan said the sentence of 240 months was “sufficient and no graver than necessary,” for Maxwell, who earlier addressed the court and told her victims, “I am sorry for the pain that you experienced.”
“I hope my conviction and harsh incarceration brings you pleasure,” said Maxwell, wearing blue jail scrubs, her dark brown locks cut in a bob.
Maxwell’s sentencing marked the end of the federal criminal proceedings against her in the Southern District of New York, where she was brought after her arrest at a sprawling New Hampshire estate in July 2020.
