About 50 paratroopers were injured Monday after a large-scale airborne operation conducted by the 82nd Airborne Division and the United Kingdom's 16 Air Assault Brigade.

About 2,100 paratroopers participated in Monday night's airborne operation. Most of the injured troops were Americans; about 10 were British paratroopers, said Lt. Col. Cathy Wilkinson, a spokeswoman for the 82nd Airborne Division.

The paratroopers were taken to Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to be evaluated by medical personnel, the 82nd Airborne said in a statement.

About 40 of them were released and returned to duty early Tuesday afternoon.

Five were admitted to the hospital and the rest were waiting to be evaluated.

Most of the paratroopers suffered injuries to their legs or ankles or had back pain, which "are not out of the ordinary for injuries associated with airborne operations," Wilkinson said.

None of the injuries was life-threatening, and officials expected the majority of the soldiers to be able to return to their normal duties by the end of the day Tuesday.

"The 82nd Airborne Division conducts thousands of airborne operations each year," Wilkinson said. "Exiting an aircraft in flight with a full combat equipment load comes with inherent risks, but we take prudent precautions to minimize potential injuries."

Monday night's jump, which took place shortly before 9 p.m., resulted in "relatively minor injuries for a small number of the participants," she said. "We're thankful that the majority of the troopers were treated and released and wish everyone a fast recovery."

The jump, featuring soldiers from the 82nd Airborne's 2nd Brigade Combat Team and the U.K.'s 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, 16 Air Assault Brigade, kicked off a major exercise between the two units.

The Combined Joint Operational Access Exercise is the largest U.S.-U.K. bilateral airborne training operation to take place on Fort Bragg in the last 20 years.

The soldiers were to jump from American C-17s and C-130s and Royal Air Force aircraft onto Fort Bragg before moving to seize an airfield, evacuate non-combatants and execute offensive and defensive operations.

Some U.S. paratroopers jumped with British parachutes and vice versa, but there is no indication that was a factor, Wilkinson said.

The exercise is continuing as scheduled, Wilkinson said. - Army Times.

Realistic Military Training in California, Arizona...

If you see some unusual helicopters overhead in the next couple of days, there's nothing to worry about.

The I Marine Expeditionary Force G-7 will be conducting a Realistic Military Training this week, using the Prescott Municipal Airfield as a helicopter refueling point in order to facilitate a Long Range Raid at Camp Navajo, Arizona.

This Certification Exercise (CERTEX) is directed to be conducted from April 8-21, 2015 at various training locations throughout California and Arizona. The training at Prescott will take place on April 15, 16.

The purpose of the exercise is to "...provide the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) the opportunity to conduct training in unfamiliar environments during the final phase of their pre-deployment program. During CERTEX, the 15th MEU will be required to conduct a series of challenging and realistic training events to test their ability to conduct conventional and specialized missions.

Yavapai Downs Fiargrounds will also be utilized to conduct a Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel. A Marine actor will play the role of a downed pilot. MEU personnel will insert by helicopter, set security, search for and locate a downed pilot and extract by helicopter.

Before arriving, military personnel will conduct a thorough site survey and operational risk and safety assessment of all civilian training sites to identify safety issues and concerns, as well as establish mitigating factors required to ensure that all safety measures are taken. Coordination has been conduceted with all property owners and local law enforcement.

According to the information received, "The USMC has conducted similar training exercises throughout the United States and it's territories safely and without incident since 1985.

Senators John McCain and Flake have been notified, as has Representative Paul Gosar, Governor Doug Ducey, Mayor Marlin Kuykendall, Sheriff Scott Mascher and Chief Jerald Monahan.

"Your support of this exercise will erve a vital role in preparing the United States Marines for service during the current War on Terrorism," concludes the notification. - Prescotte News.

Marine unit conducts exercise at sports park - Part of larger training operation involving sites in California and Arizona
U.S. Marines from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit from Camp Pendleton conducted a non-combatant evacuation operation training exercise at Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sports Park reportedly at round 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

Staff Sgt. Bobbie Curtis, media communications chief at Camp Pendleton, said the purpose of the exercise was to provide the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit the opportunity to conduct training in unfamiliar environments during the final phase of their pre-deployment program. During the certified exercise, the unit was required to conduct a series of challenging and realistic training events to test their ability to conduct conventional and specialized missions.

The Expeditionary Operations Training Group was in charge of the exercise, according to a notice of the exercise that was sent to city and law enforcement officials. The exercise was to be conducted off federal property to provide realistic military training.

According to the notice, the unit would insert personnel by helicopter, set security, screen and process evacuees and extract all personnel by helicopter. Curtis said the evacuees were U.S. Marine actors.

According to a media advisory provided by Curtis, The Expeditionary Operations Training Group will evaluate the unit’s ability to provide a flexible sea-based Marine air ground task force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and limited contingency operations.

Training was scheduled to occur in San Pedro April last weekend, Yavapai County, Ariz., Blythe, Prescott, Ariz., Tuesday through Thursday and offshore of California, April 9 through Friday. The advisory said military aircraft and an increase in noise may be noticed around these areas, but no live-fire training will take place near any of these populated areas.

The exercise, according to the advisory, provides the unit the opportunity to conduct training in unfamiliar environments during the final phase of their pre-deployment program. During the evaluation, the unit will be required to conduct a series of challenging and realistic training events to test their ability to conduct conventional and specialized missions.

The unit is comprised of approximately 2,500 Marines and sailors from the southern California region. The advisory said the unit is built around an infantry battalion with air and combat service support, and it provides a force that can quickly respond to a variety of contingencies and military operations all while continuing to strengthen international relationships though joint security and stability training. - Desert Dispatch.

Massive Military Convoy Spotted Headed Towards Texas! 'I've Never Seen Anything Like It' More Jade Helm 15 Preparations

With the official beginning of Jade Helm 15 still more than 3 months away, a massive military convoy was spotted on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike heading south of Oklahoma City towards Texas and captured in the several photographs published above and below. We were told that these pictures are only a small fraction of the entire convoy and that the person who took them had 'never seen anything like it'. They also took two videos during the long passing of this convoy, one 5 minutes long and one 3 minutes long, but the videos 'oddly disappeared' from their phone.

While some may unwisely dismiss this convoy as 'normal military movement', ANP strongly disagrees and cite as evidence recent warnings voiced by a survivor of the 'round-up' of dissidents by the Fidel Castrol regime in Cuba who told us he was 'immensely worried about Jade Helm' as shared in the 3rd video below as well as the conspiracy by mainstream media outlets such as the Washington Post to hide the 'true purpose' of Jade Helm. Google has also pinned the Washington Post Jade Helm 15 propaganda story to the top of their news search for many consecutive days in an attempt to sway their users perceptions to believe that there is 'nothing to worry about' in regards to the US military's 'invasion of America'. In the 5th video below, Bug Out Preps shares with us the difference between 'normal' military training and Jade Helm 15 and what we learn is that what we are now witnessing here is 'anything but normal'.

We were also told that the person who took these photographs passed a gas station along the route and there were 30-60 men on the ground surrounding humvees and other huge trucks with tarps covering up whatever might have been inside them with possibly 20+ vehicles at that location. The photographer also mentioned that she was sure that these some of these men KNEW that they were being videotaped and photographed but she shrugged it off as 'oh well, I'm likely on the red list anyways.'

Each and every day we are witnessing more preparation for a massive military-style event taking place in the USA of a magnitude that we have never seen before and as warned by Steve Quayle in the 2nd video below, an event that likely will change America forever. In the 4th video below from Roy Cooper we're given an update on the emerging proof that Jade Helm 15 will have 'death squad' activity as many upcoming events are now pointing to September 2015 while in the 1st video, an exclusive from The Alex Jones Channel, we SEE proof that the National Guard is now training to put US citizens into FEMA camps.

With Jade Helm 15 coming and 'martial law exercises' across America nearly every week now, we have to ask, where is the urgency with Americans? Does anybody care that America is about to change drastically for the worst or is everybody too caught up in their latest 'diversions' to even see what we can clearly see unfolding? What about the videos that were taken? Do you think they were somehow 'wiped clean' by a new government technology to prevent them, too, from being released showing exactly how long this military convoy stretched or maybe for containing footage of something that the govt didn't want us to see? Why would the National Guard now be training to intern Americans into FEMA camps as shown in the 1st video below? More preparation for the 'red list' roundups?  - ANP.

Pentagon drafting thousands of ‘cyber forces’ in prep for cyber emergency

A week after US officials said a Russian group hacked the White House, Pentagon officials told the Senate that they are creating cyber “surge forces” trained to defend America’s energy, telecommunication and critical infrastructure.

The Pentagon intends to draft personnel for its cyber reserve force from civilians as well as the National Guard in the event of a network emergency, a top military official told the Senate Armed Forces committee on Tuesday.

“Cyber attacks pose a serious threat to networks and systems of critical infrastructure. The Department of Defense relies on US critical infrastructure to perform its current and future missions. Intrusions into that infrastructure could disrupt or destroy critical systems in a time of crisis,” Eric Rosenbach, the defense principal cyber adviser to the Secretary of Defense, told the Senate Armed Forces subcommittee.

The testimony given to the subcommittee was regarding the military’s cyber programs, which were mentioned in the Defense Authorization Request for Fiscal year 2016 and Future Years Defense Program.

Rosenbach said the cyber threats also target companies that work with the Department of Defense (DoD) in its Defense Industrial Base, and have already led to the loss of intellectual property and sensitive information. Those attacks, he added, threaten US economic growth and enable adversaries to more easily achieve technological parity with the US.

The Pentagon is building the Cyber Mission Force under its offensive and defensive Cyber Command, which, when fully equipped in 2018, will have 133 teams and nearly 6,200 military and civilian personnel. Part of the force will be the “surge force,” with “up to 2,000 Reserve and National Guard personnel.” So far, the department is half staffed.

“External actors probe and scan DoD networks for vulnerabilities millions of times each day, and over one hundred foreign intelligence agencies continually attempt to infiltrate Department of Defense networks. Some incursions – state and non-state – have succeeded,” said Rosenbach.

Due to these constant cyberattacks, the Pentagon wants to bring in security reinforcements, though it’s currently facing a cyber workface shortage. Military and civilian agencies are competing with the private sector for scarce cyber talent. Lawmakers and advisory councils have long recommended the federal government institute a civilian cyber militia to aid agencies during crises.

The department is talking to industry members about incentives and career pathways to bring more cyber expertise into the military, Rosenbach testified.

He singled out North Korea’s alleged attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment as an example of “the most destructive cyberattack against the United States to date.” - RT.

DHS to Purchase 62 Million More Rounds of AR-15 Ammo

Feds attempting to control the market, dry up supply? Purchase in addition to billions of bullets previously bought by feds

The Department of Homeland Security is set to purchase over 62 million rounds of ammo typically used in AR-15 semi-automatic rifles, just weeks after the ATF was forced to back down on a ban on M855 bullets.

A posting on FedBizOpps.gov this week reveals that the DHS is looking to contract with a company to provide 12.6 million rounds of .223 Remington ammunition per year for a period of five years – totaling 62.5 million bullets.

The solicitation explains that the purchase is intended, “to achieve price savings over the current .223 Rem duty ammunition.” The bullets will be used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents nationwide for “training” purposes.

The .223 Remington is one of the most common rifle cartridges in use in the United States and is used both in bolt action rifles and semi-automatic rifles such as the AR-15 and the Ruger Mini-14.

In 2013, following concerns about the DHS buying large quantities of several different types of ammunition, weapons manufacturers noted that the feds may have been attempting to control the ammunition market by forcing manufacturers to hold back stock from general sale.

“If they periodically do this in increments, they’re going to control how much ammo is available on the commercial market,” a weapons manufacturer told Michael Savage, adding that the contracts with bullet manufacturers stipulate that everything made goes to the government as the number one priority before it is allowed to enter the commercial market.

In March 2013, Californian Congressman Doug LaMalfa and 14 of his House peers wrote a letter to the Department of Homeland Security demanding to know why the federal agency was buying so many rounds of ammunition and whether the purchases were part of a deliberate attempt to restrict supply to the American people.

“The extraordinary level of ammunition purchases made by Homeland Security seems to have, in states such as my own, created an extreme shortage of ammunition to the point where many gun owners are unable to purchase any,” LaMalfa wrote in the letter.

The bulk purchase follows attempts by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to ban M855 ammo, another popular round for AR-15’s used by hunters. The ATF justified the ban by claiming that the bullets were “armor piercing” and a threat to law enforcement officers.

After being on the receiving end of a huge backlash, the feds were forced to back down and ATF director B. Todd Jones subsequently tendered his resignation. Democratic Congressman Steve Israel called the ATF backdown “cowardly” and vowed to revive the ban.

The ATF’s threat to ban the ammo temporarily caused prices of the bullet to surge more than double in price.

Although federal agencies are increasingly hiding their purchases by limiting public information on fbo.gov, it can still be conservatively estimated from available data that the feds have purchased at least 2.11 billion rounds of ammunition since April 2012:

Major airborne operation in North Carolina involving U.S. 82nd Airborne Division and the United Kingdom's 16 Assault Brigade Dhs_ammo03

That’s enough ammo to kill around 30% of the world’s population.

Furthermore, U.S. soldiers were shooting around 5.5 million rounds of ammunition per month during the war in Iraq, or 66 million rounds annually. Using that figure, the feds have stockpiled enough ammo over the past two years to fight a 32-year war. - Info Wars.

I am somewhat confused

Lately, although it has been going on for some time beyond politics the stream of thought has been what "special relationship" has this country with America. A lot of people here do not want to see anymore craven star glazed idiots in Parliament falling in supplication to the idiots in Washington.

That a leaked memo to the US congress in the last few weeks is alleged to say that the UK, GB, YOOKAY or whatever name the morons in power choose this week is no longer relevant to the aspirations of the US Government. This kinda confirms what the public have been saying for years, in short Parliaments inadequates have turned themselves into vassals without any consent at all. The only sane reason for this must be letting "the yanks" put up most of the money in defense while the socialist and worse minions waste other money on rubbish.

So....either the military are ignoring the politicos, or the politicos are once more "speaking with forked tongue"

I am very much aware of the respect US forces have for those here once they have met them, some of the more pompous here are known to say, and have been recorded doing so

"The Americans turn up in large numbers for military exercises and bring an awfully large of toys with them, we due to budget restraints do not have the numbers or the toys, our role is to teach the Americans how to use the toys safely without killing either us or themselves"

Now then, either their is going to be a completely different approach after the leaked memo or it was complete fallacy, I don't know which. What I am completely surprised about is there are that many YOOKAY troops left to send anywhere
