"Olesya Podkorytov from Kurgan in south-central Russia said at first she had not noticed the mysterious figure in her picture.
It was only when she shared the image online that she was flooded with comments alerting her to the shadowy outline a few seats behind her.
Podkorytov had been on a business trip and said she was not sure why she suddenly decided to take a picture of herself - because it was not something she usually did.
She said: 'I uploaded the picture on my social media page, and then all the questions and comments hit me. Only after that I realised there was a bizarre-looking image of a creature behind me.'
