While at the Plastic Bank global summit in Bali, David spent some time at the beach to bring attention to ocean plastic waste. The UN’s SDG’s are in order for a reason. If you want to help solve marine debris, you have to tackle poverty first Learn more at www.plasticbank.com Plastic Bank gives value to plastic waste and it can be exchanged for rewards or money and helps lift people out of poverty by providing income and additional life-improving items and services. By revealing the value in waste plastic we help reduce global poverty while stopping ocean plastic from entering our seas and waterways. Our mission is to remove plastic waste such as plastic bottles from the land, oceans and waterways while helping people ascend from poverty and transition into entrepreneurship. We currently operate in Haiti, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil and anticipate going to Egypt, Vietnam and Thailand in 2020. Plastic Bank is collecting ocean bound plastic at a rate of almost 2 million pounds (900000kg's) a month. The plastic we collect is flaked or baled and then transported to a facility to use it in recycled products. Be part of the solution!
