Monks Pray For Answers to Why a UFO Visited Their Temple
Monks are considered to be holy people, which should make them pretty reliable witnesses. So it’s hard to question the eyewitness reports of a group of monks in China who saw a UFO hovering over their temple and changing shapes from an apple to the Buddha himself. But just for you non-believers, they captured it on video too.
The first indication that there might be a mysterious presence at the Baita Temple in Anhui province occurred when a security alarm went off at 11 pm on May 28th. Father Shi Xingkong was on security duty that night and went to investigate after turning off the alarm. He said he saw nothing unusual outside and went back in to check the video (yep, even Buddhist monks need security cameras). That’s when he saw it.
The video shows the object for seven minutes – hovering over the temple, changing shapes and even flying inside the temple itself for a brief moment. After that, the UFO began rotating quickly and shot out of the camera’s view.It was only when I looked on the monitor that I could see the UFO.
The monks thought that the UFO looked like an apple, a flying saucer and, not surprisingly, a sitting Buddha. They had no idea what it actually was other than it had some mass since it set off the infrared alarm.
Various security camera images of the UFO
Speculation outside the temple on what the UFO might be ranged from a toy drone to an insect to ball lightning. A local meteorologist discounted the ball lightning theory because he felt the UFO moved too slow to be that phenomenon. He preferred the bug idea, saying that bugs glow when they get too close to the camera. Is he combining theories and thinking it’s a lightning bug?
The meteorologist also questioned whether the UFO actually went into the temple.
Whoa! Doubting Buddhist monks? I seem to remember a TV show about a monk who knew kung fu and didn’t like to be doubted.
What does it look like to you? Whatever the UFO was, the monks have candles lit, incense burning and security cameras fully charged in anticipation of the next visit.
Does this look like a sitting Buddha to you?
